EXPLORE
EARTH'S
CHAKRAS

Research shows that the earth’s chakras happen to coincide where the Earth’s magnetic lines, so-called ley lines, cross each other. And when we visit these places it is believed that it is possible to align or “tune” the energy in our bodies with the energy of the Earth, and basically recharge ourselves.

Residing in places of stunning natural beauty, these awe-inspiring locations are all of great importance in native culture, with spiritual powers and accounts of revelation assigned to them. They are also places of some of the world’s greatest unexplainable mystical phenomena which continue to puzzle mankind. Adding to this are reports spanning thousands of years of people feeling pulled – or called – toward these places for unknown reasons.

People from all walks of life traverse the globe to visit these profound energetic spots for their healing capabilities. It is a quest to tap into their ancient knowledge – inextricably shrouded in legends and mysticism – to restore our balance, experience a higher sense of well-being and consciousness, and ultimately to feel more connected to the world around us.

You are probably familiar with the seven chakras, or the main energy centers in our bodies. Perhaps you’ve heard your yoga teacher talk about chakras, or maybe you’ve familiarized yourself with them by scrolling through a meditation app.

The seven chakras are each thought to impact specific organs and biological processes in our bodies, connected to bundles of nerves which directly influence our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. Our emotions, beliefs and memories live here.

Think of them as spinning wheels of energy, which are located in different parts of the body running from the crown of our head to the base of our spine. It is not visible to the human eye, but it can be felt, or sensed. And when people talk about “unblocking” the chakras it refers to opening them so that energy can flow freely in between, resulting in harmony between the body, mind, and spirit.

What you might not know, is that the Earth has chakras as well – mirroring those in our bodies. They manifest themselves in the form of vortexes, or major swirling energy points, in seven main locations around the world. These often sacred locations are revered as places of great cultural, historical as well as spiritual significance, and are usually found in places of high elevation – like volcanoes and monolithic rock formations.

“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”

– Albert Einstein
